Art is...Petaluma

In 2011, Art Is...You will celebrate its 5th anniversary and there is no better way to celebrate but to bring the East Coast to the West Coast!!

At the gateway to northern California’s wine country, we’re ready to welcome you to the perfect getaway. They've got it all: fine and casual dining, quaint towns and villages, spectacular Pacific Coast beaches, wineries, art and antiques galore.

Plus, a weekend of over 70 workshops with some of the countries finest, and respected artists. All this and much more awaits you just 30 minutes north of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.

Every morning when gathering for Breakfast, artists are encouraged to bring their projects from the day before for Show and Tell. Enjoy first-class buffet luncheons  and every night there will be the option to dine in house with specially prepared dinners to enjoy before embarking on an evening activity.

Thursday we start the day bright and early with workshops and end the day with a special Eat Cake and Create©,

Friday will be a full day of workshops, followed by dinner at your leisure.  Then you are invited to "Meet the Artist" and informal gathering of Art is... Faculty and the team of Artists from Halloween and Vine

Saturday's plans are so very exciting!  Our lunch will be extended, and you will have the option of enjoying a delicious picnic lunch by the hotel pool, or enjoy your picnic on the run by attending the fabulous HALLOWEEN AND VINE.  We will return to finish our workshops, freshen up, put on our best "Picnic in the Vines" outfits and experience a unique and very Petaluma ART TRUNK with Wine and Cheeses from the local area.

This exciting market with wonderful trunk shows from industry suppliers and artists will be open and promoted to the public.  We will be honoring The Fabulous Women of Petaluma and we will have an exciting Art raffle with all proceeds going to this "fabulous" group of women!

As a special treat for our new West Coast family, we will host a ticketed dinner on Sunday night with a very special guest. 

We welcome the very special Teresa McFayden of Paper Bella who will join us and share about her passions in life and art.  With special gifts and treats for all those who attend, we are so thrilled to welcome Teresa into the Art Is...You Family.

I knew when I walked in and saw PINK FLAMINGOES, I knew that I was in a MAGICAL place. When I realized that there was GLITTER all down the stairs, I realized I was HOME. Each wonderful person I met made me realize that I was with KINDRED SPIRITS. Michael deMeng's workshop on Sunday--pure NIRVANA!!! I was there for only one day, but at the end of the day, each of my chakras was SPINNING faster than ever before and colorful sparks were radiating from my fingertips.

This is a personal journey for us. We honor and hold close to our hearts, those that choose to spend their weekend with us and our faculty. We are reminded that Art is...a circle of life. All that we do, all that we say, all that we share, comes back to us tenfold.
