Heart's Desire :: Fabric Journal
Saturday 10-5pm

"The journey of self discovery begins with the immediacy of your freedom from what you are not and with the being of who you already are."  -- Elysha

Dorothy and friends went in search of their heart's desires, and found them within. Chronical your own inner journey in a unique fiber art book. Use fabric and mixed media collaging techniques, hand and free-motion machine stitching to build journal pages, juxtaposing written thoughts and ideas and visual images (photo transfers, drawn, printed and/or stamped images). Students will construct individual pages and learn methods for assembling the finished pages into book form.

Supply List:
Each student's project will take on its own life. You will have to determine which of the following supplies you will actually use (particularly those in the "extras" category). I recommend that you have more than you think you’ll use, so you have plenty of options.

Remember that the idea with this journal is to discover yourself. Do some soul searching before coming, decide what you'd ask the Wizard for. What about yourself do you want to discover and what approach do you think will help you do this?
