Nature Printed Fabric Collage

Let the natural world inspire you! Print from nature onto fabric using leaves, fruit and replica fish. Create a small collage on a piece of wool or bamboo felt using fabric, paper, a nature print, stamping, and hand or machine stitching. Attach the collage to a painted and textured canvas to finish.
* Kit Fee: $10 per student - includes 6” square pre-stretched canvas, felt, embroidery floss, felt & fabric
* Supplies Provided by Teacher: acrylic paint, small containers for water, art papers and ephemera, glue, glazing and gel mediums, pinking shears, tools for creating textured designs in paint (combs etc), stamps, fruit, leaves and replica fish, basin, plastic plates for palettes
* Supply List: pencil and small sketchpad or paper, scissors, two or three 1” foam brushes, fine paintbrush (like a #1 or 2 round) for small details, hand sewing kit or sewing machine with a variety of thread. A darning and a walking foot are extremely helpful to have for your machine. A painter’s apron or smock is also useful to keep your clothes clean.
